The female body is a temple.. no it isn't. It is a brothel instead. Never is it asked what it desires. It is fed with luxuries and then lied upon. The night is the hour of this body, because at this time the libido of the man is at its peak. And the so-called temple isn't even taken into consideration for having any such thing.
Prostitution.. the word itself is a taboo in today's society where beginning the day with one woman and ending it with another is a symbol of sophistication for men. Yes, because he then becomes the most desirable or at worse a Casanova, but never slut shamed.
India has the worst case scenario in this case. There are around 10 million commercial sex workers in India. Yes, 10 million prostitutes who sell their bodies solely for money. About 2 lakh 75thousand brothels run a business of millions with a hike of 2 lakh per year. 3/4th of the prostitutes work here due to poverty and 1/4th work due to marital problems. Women who are either there due to helplessness or are forced into prostitution have either the worst or no option left with them. Hence they sell their bodies for money. Neither is their libido satisfied nor are their desires looked into. They get no pleasure and only pain.
But hey!! This being a major issue in human as well as a country's development is ever ignored. Instead the very men who sleep with these so called sluts or bitches spit on them once they are done.
I ask...how are they any different from these women who sell their bodies? The sexual engagement occurs between two people then how is one ostracized and the other accepted in the society? Is that man too not a prostitute in one way? And what right does he have to label a character certificate to that woman he slept with? And why does he not do this with his very own wife?
The so called male dominated society is a mass of hypocrisy. And its principles and ideas a bundle of contradictions. These men idolize porn stars and actresses who are naked - either partially or completely in front of the whole world. But slut shame these prostitutes who do it for feeding their families. Poor men!!
The need is to look at both sexes with the same respect in one's eyes. Even if it is a prostitute who is talked about. No woman is a prostitute by birth or choice. It is simply the wrath of time that forces them into this misery.
